Alchemizing Joy: The Art of Imperfect Creation

slack-imgs-4.jpg

Amanda and Michelle here.

We're so excited to have you join us for our second global Sunday Salon, 'Alchemizing Joy: The Art of Imperfect Creation.'

This conversation was inspired by so many ideas.

The link between creation and emotional processing.
Intuition and creativity.
How art changes our brains, like meditation or mindfulness.
That having fun is really, really important for being a good human.
And that creative ability isn't something you're either born with or not.

We all have innate creativity—it's just a matter of tapping in and figuring out what your unique form looks like.

We're so excited to explore this idea, and open up the conversation to you brilliant people. Join us by signing up for the call on Sunday here.  It all goes down on Sunday, 2/18 at 9 a.m. PST - 12 p.m. EST - 5 p.m. GMT.

Prep Talk

For the overachievers out there (we see you, ex-high school AP + honors students) here's what we've been reading, listening to, and watching in order to prep for Sunday. Take a look.

Recipes for Creativity

Literally. Our favorite drinks to whip up to boost brain power and open creative portals.

Amanda's Take

First of all, listen to your body. What are you craving? Some mornings I reach for a cup of tea and sometimes I reach for a blast of goodness (both recipes below). Ask yourself what you need. Depending on the day, here are some of my favorites:

Lift The Vibes • Bulletproof Coffee with Adaptogen

Ghee absorbs energies so while making it play or chant mantras, oh, and make it when you feel relaxed and stress-free... The mantras add a touch of love that you can feel when ingested <3 Reishi boosts immunity and strengthens our bodies to take on stress that may come with the day.

Ingredients

Method

Add all ingredients to blender and blitz for 30 to 90 seconds.

Lift The Spirits • Tea Elixir

Spring Dragon is double direction regulating tea. The main herb is Gynostemma which helps with stamina and lifting the spirit. Tocos adds a little beauty boost for hair, skin, and nails.

Ingredients

Method

Add all ingredients to blender and blitz for 15 seconds.

Michelle's Take

Open The Third Eye Chai • Tea Blend

Anecdotally, kava kava, tulsi, and ashwagandha are known for opening the third eye and helping the brain get into theta state.

Ingredients

Method

Allow tea bags to steep in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes. Add tea and remaining ingredients to blender, and blitz for 30 seconds.

Ignite The Creative Spark • Matcha Latte

Rhodiola is a powerful adaptogen that oxygenates the blood, which gives it stimulant-like effects (in a good way).

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon Rhodiola
  • 1 tablespoon matcha green tea
  • 8 oz very hot water
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla MCT oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a few drops stevia, for taste

Method

Allow tea bags to steep in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes. Add tea and remaining ingredients to blender, and blitz for 30 seconds.
